This year’s Sports Day will also support a very meaningful cause through a fundraising drive organised in collaboration with the BSL Charity Club.
During the event, we will be raising funds for Hope for Humanity, a UK-registered charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities around the world through education, emergency response, livelihood programmes, and support for homeless and marginalised groups.
Founded in 2016, Hope for Humanity is entirely volunteer-led and operates a 100% donation policy, meaning every contribution goes directly to those in need. The charity’s work is built on compassion, commitment, accountability, and transparency.
We are especially proud that Ms Ashiq, one of our Secondary English teachers, has played a central role in the charity’s development and impact since its foundation, helping to shape its vision and support its continued growth.
Education remains one of the charity’s main focuses. Hope for Humanity has already established schools in Malawi and Pakistan, creating life-changing opportunities for children with limited access to education. Following a recent visit to Pakistan by Ms Ashiq and other members of the charity, an urgent need for a new school was identified, and this fundraising initiative aims to help make that project possible.
Although we were unfortunately unable to organise the Fun Run originally planned for this term, we hope to build on this support in the autumn term with a community fun run involving students, staff, and families. Further information will be shared in due course.
We would like to thank all members of our community for their generosity and support during Sports Day. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help make a meaningful difference.
