BLS Sports Day 2026

A Message from Our Headtmaster Mr Spicer

Dear Parents,

We are delighted to announce that this year’s whole-school Sports Day will take place on Tuesday 2nd June at the stadium of C.F. Os Belenenses. It promises to be a fantastic day filled with sport, teamwork, fun, and community spirit, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming all our families to this special event.

The school day will begin as normal for all students at both campuses, with usual arrival times and registration procedures in place. Students from BSL Cais do Sodré will travel to the stadium by bus with their teachers, while students from BSL Restelo will walk to the stadium accompanied by Secondary staff.

Parents are warmly invited to join us from 10:00am, with sporting events beginning promptly and running until approximately 1:00pm. Following the competitions, we will come together for a family picnic from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, with food, activities, and entertainment organised by the school to continue the celebrations.

At 3:00pm, parents will be expected to take their child(ren) home directly from the venue, or arrange collection at that time. Please note that the afternoon Rodinhas home-school transport service will operate from the sports club at 3:00pm.

Sports Day is always one of the highlights of the BSL calendar, bringing together students, staff, and families for a memorable celebration of participation and achievement. We are also excited to bring back the much-loved parent races, so make sure to save the date and prepare for some friendly competition!
